Alas, this post kind of got away from me. I had great intentions of telling the story of our move and some other great things that were happening, but I kept pushing it back. More great things happened – and now I have quite a few stories to tell! Let’s start with a picture.
This house was a real blessing. We’ll miss it. Pictures are much easier than writing; let’s see if I have any more.
Here’s a shot from one of our many stops with the moving truck. Leslie, Granny, & the girls flew to Austin. Dave, Dave, Dan, & the Dogs drove 1800 miles with the van and moving truck. I would not recommend trying to go as far as we did in two days. I have never been more tired in my life – packing, refinishing the deck, loading, driving, little sleep, unloading. Too much!
Here’s Lucy in a swing in her new neighborhood! Leslie’s parents have a wonderful home in a newer section of Lakeway. Four adults, two little girls, two dogs, and two cats is quite a household, but we’ve been getting along great with lots of family time. Leslie and I are anxious to land in our new home and get settled for good, but having an intermediate spot to stage as we get to know Austin has been a huge blessing.
